What is Holi?
The word Holi means “Happy”, Holi is celebrates fertility,colour,love,and the triumph of good over evil. The origins of the festival can be found in various legends in Hindu mythology,one of which tells the story of a demon, Holika, and her brother,king Hiranyakashipu. On 21st 22nd March 2019 people around the world will celebrate the Hindu festival of Holi,also known as the “Festival of Colours”.Holi is  celebrated on the full moon day in the month of march.Regional Names of Holi Dulandi, Rangpanchami, Basant Utsav, Dol Purnima,Lathmaar Holi,Hola Mohalla,Shimgo,Kaman Pandigai,Phagu Purnima.

 Holika Dahan Then on the eve of Holi, Holika Dahan takes place. Effigy of Holika, the devil minded sister of demon king Hiranyakashyap is placed in the wood and burnt. For,Holika tried to kill Hiranyakashyap’s son Prahlad, an ardent devotee of Lord  Naarayana. The ritual symbolises the victory of good over evil and also the triumph of a true devotee.
Holi celebration in Vrindavan and Mathura Holi celebration in Vrindavan is a week-long celebration and that it start with the Phoolon wali Holi that starts by splashing flowers at the Banke Bihari temple in tradition of beating up the men by women in the village of Nandgaon and Barsana which is performed a week before  the Holi celebration.

Festival of Colours   The tradition of playing colours is particularly rampant in North India and  even in that region there can be no camparison to the holi of Mathura and Vrindavan.Holi is celebrated with lot of enthusiasm and Fun.People take extreme delight in spraying colour water on each other with “pichkaris or pouring buckets and buckets of it.Singing Bollywood Songs and  dancing on the beat of dholak and DJ music. Drinks, specially thandai laced with bhang,today’s generation think it also an intrinsic part of the Holi festival,but we can see at origin of this festival this cannot be done.
Holi is started from Satyuga since Holika Dahan,this festival is epitome of Devotion towards God, and  decoroum of devotee. But in Today’s era,Holi is celebrated for another motives,devotion is too far for Youth and they don’t have devotee decoroum. While playing with colours and water in our society in schools,collges or workplace. This festival also increases the list of criemes, while playing holi man’s or boys are  doing mischief  things with women like unappropriate touches on females and passing comment like “Bura na Mano Holi Hai” and  “Holi hai”.Many of the woman’s have to faced on this day bad escapade on the occasion of Holi,Holi is the festival of colours,love, peace and spirituality. In the name of Holi Festival women’s not raise her voice  openly towards sexual activities.This is the time to raise our voice ,otherwise coming genration willnot  forgive us.
Drunk and  hangover doing cleavage the cloths of each other and sometimes  it causes sexual activities which is not only wrong legally but  ethically and morally as well.After holi we can see in the newspaper the cases of Rape, Family fighting, drunk and hangover causes accidents and death.In One Famliy 2days before Holi they lost  their 20 years boy in a accidents,paresnts of that boy can really play  or celebrate  holi.Family,frinds,relatives,neighbourhood can they Celebrate festival of holi.

Means In this world where  nothing is certain,we cannot afford to celebrate anything as this world belongs too “kaal”
The origins of Holi is started from Bhagt Prahlad for his Devotion towards God and  courtesty of devotee,as well  as it doesn’t meet social status.This type of playing Holi cannot be say as the festival of colours and  love, holi is taken a terrible form in our society.The effects of Holi colours on skin is harmful solvents when mixed with colours can dirertly lead to skin related problems like rashes,skin cancer, allergy,etc. Causes allergy in eyes which results in blindness,redness of the eyes.Excess intake of black colour containing lead oxide through air directly the kindey.Directly attack the nervous system which result in mental retardation. Today’s the society is educated and we can easily refer to our holy scriptures to find out if at all these practices should be undertaken or not?
Let’s celebrate a real 2019 Holi
  When we come under the asylum of Supreme God and taken a initiation from an enlightened Saint than you can celebrate a real Holi everyday, everyweek,everymonth,everytime in your life. As per  holy Bhagwad Geeta Chapter 4 verse 32 and verse 34,salvation is possible only after taking initation from an enlightened saint.Holy Bhagwad Geeta Chapter 7 verse 12 to 15,the three gods; Brahma,Vishnu and Mahesh keep the soul bound and do not let it attain salvation. Holy Bhagwad Geeta Chapter 16 verse 23 and 24,clearly mentions that whoever you worship(ghosts,dead ancestors,gods)you go to them post death and they too are in the cycle of birth and death. This means it does not lead to salvation. Holy Bhagwad Geeta Chapter 18 verse 66,the giver of knowledge of Holy Bhagwad Geeta is asking Arjuna to take the recourse of complete Almight to attain eternal abode and peace. Holy Bhagwad Geeta Chapter 9 verse 23 and 24,way of worship opposite to scriptures leads to decline.This is snapshot of what is written in our most sacred holy book Holy Bhagwad Geeta .Throughout the chapters in Holy Bhagwad Geeta ,there is no mention of any kind of festivity.
